Cynthia Payne – April Message
This message comes at a time of unprecedented change and focus for the aged care industry. We salute all leaders who have literally moved mountains to gear up COVID prevention and preparedness plans, trying to keep track of various state and national regulatory requirements (which change frequently) and still be there for your staff, residents and families.
It’s the leaders, in our view, who are the unsung heroes of how well the aged care industry is rising and leaning into these unchartered waters. The pressure is intense and we want to give recognition to how much you all continued to dig deep and stay the course of being there for everyone else.
We want you to know we are here for you and send our heartfelt thanks to your work and continuing to stay resilient despite all the competing interests.
Like you, our business has also needed to PIVOT and in order to keep our clients safe we are on top of our own FLU vaccination requirements, social distancing and at the ready on a remote basis. We continue to support our clients with all compliance requirements, development and documentation of policies and any requirements for business mentoring including our signature AnchorMentor program.
This week Julie McStay (Thomson Geer) and I kicked off our ‘Compliance Essentials – Key personnel” program in a new virtual online 5 module format. We conducted Module 1 again on Monday (27th April) following a great response and feedback. We also provide these programs tailored to meet your own organisations requirements. For those working remotely, you do have an opportunity to use this time to skill up and refresh your skills. We are deploying other bespoke programs – like our high impact risk and clinical governance training using ZOOM and Teams so we encourage you to access our expertise – please reach out – you are not on your own and we can provide help when you need it.
