In June this year Thomson Geer, Anchor Excellence and Nous Group conducted a roadshow, visiting Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The session unpicked how the new Aged Care Quality Standards will bring a different focus on organisational governance in aged care.

Topics of discussion included how the changing governance expectations arising from Royal Commissions and regulatory interventions means directors and senior executives will be required to examine what governance means in their organisation and the part they play.

Thomson Geer’s team of aged care specialists were joined by Cynthia Payne, Managing Director Anchor Excellence, and Stephen Teulan, Managing Director Nous Group to explore these critical issues.

In addition, the session covered key legal issues relating to governance, clinical governance and a workshop enabling the delegates to better understand the key actions that need addressing.
