Welcome to this August 2nd edition of AnchorNews

In this edition of AnchorNews we flag a few key activities relating to the aged care compliance space.
Britt O’Keefe has written an explanatory article to help Providers navigate Restrictive Practices and the NDIS.
During our two complimentary webinars on the New Restrictive Practices we received numerous questions arising from the over 750 attendees. If you missed these webinars then please see the recording which can be accessed at no charge until the end of August.
We also launched the AE Restrictive Practices package and will this week also send those who have purchased a NEW Process for Behaviour Support (as it relates to Restrictive Practice) and also one for NDIS. We have also refreshed the Classification Table to reflect the risk implication of using Restrictive Practices (essential for informing and educating the Restrictive Practices Substitute Decision Maker (RPSDM)) with the risk implications of using the assessed Restrictive Practice – key to informed consent.
If you are yet to ensure your own policy and process foundations then please reach out to our team via email or phone and book a demonstration of our complete implementation pack.
In addition the Thomson Geer team and I have updated the Compliance Essentials: Key Personnel Programthis reflects the amendments to legislation. The Director’s Cut is also refreshed and all Boards are encouraged to consider this program as part of their own professional development and understanding the compliance landscape as Key Personnel.
The Compliance Essentials live session kicks off tomorrow, 3rd August, and is also accessible via recording. The Directors cut can be accessed at any time as it is condensed to 5 modules of 45 Minutes.
All the best and Stay Safe,
Cynthia and the AE Team.
